THE QUINN HOUSE (THRIFT STORE)

The Quinn House operates a thrift store that supplies clothing, furniture, and appliances to the needy for little to no charge. They need our help in organizing, shifting, moving, and relocating various items in and throughout the store. From these centers they also furnish homes for people who have gone through their program and are now out on their own. The proceeds from the stores go toward the operations of the ministries (gas, rent, electricity, etc).

CITY OF REFUGE

The City of Refuge wants help sprucing up their campus. They have a couple of different places that see most of the day-to-day foot traffic, so those areas need an extra touch when cleaning. We will also be helping clean their in-door playground, preschool, and after-school spaces. This project calls for a fun and energetic volunteer group that doesn’t mind working hard!

Prayer Team

For those of us where lifting and bending probably isn’t the best idea, we still have a community service opportunity for you! Linda Johnston will be heading up a prayer team to cover all Dream Team members going out into our community. There will also be a specific focus on praying for the organization, A Beacon Of Hope. This non-profit serves young girls & women who are facing a crisis pregnancy. There will be prayer stations setup throughout the church, and we will also be hand-addressing envelopes and writing a short note of thanks to financial donors who allow this amazing organization to function. This project is ideal for those who can't necessarily perform “physical work,” but who still want to participate in SERVE DAY!

All ages welcome.
