What is Serve Day?

We love our community and have a vision of making a difference in the lives of those around us. You are invited to join us as we step out into the community and put feet to our faith. We will have multiple projects at various local organizations who are eager for us to help them in their mission.

Read the project descriptions below, then click the link to sign up for your project. Please complete one sign-up form per participant. Each person should select ONLY ONE project.

SERVE DAY PROJECTS

MENDING THE GAP

585 Old Norcross Rd. Suite A.,  Lawrenceville, GA 30046

We're seeking several enthusiastic volunteers for our Senior Drive-Thru event on Saturday, 9/28.  We'll be serving 60-90 seniors, providing them with food boxes and a warm, welcoming experience. Volunteers will help create food boxes, set up the outdoor area, greet cars, check names off the list, load boxes into cars, and move food from the office/warehouse to the pickup area. As a greeter, you'll also have the opportunity to connect with our seniors, offer a prayer, and spread some joy. We may even have pizza or burgers on the grill for our seniors to enjoy as they drive through. If you're available, we would love to have your help in making this event a success!

Requirements: Please bring water, work gloves, and closed-toe shoes. Ages 12+.

LAWRENCEVILLE CO-OP FOOD PANTRY

52 Gwinnett Dr, Lawrenceville, GA 30046

The Lawrenceville CO-OP needs our help with a crucial cleanup project!  The team will be doing various tasks such as moving crates of food in & out of a trailer, vacuuming & wiping down the walls, then returning the crates to their place. Additional tasks include wiping down chairs and tables, mopping floors, and possibly cleaning windows. We also need help cleaning freezers and fridges!  This cleanup is a huge help to ensure we serve our clients with the highest level of care! Your help will make a significant difference!

Requirements: Please bring water, work gloves, closed-toe shoes. Ages 14+.

HARVEST GWINNETT | EE ROBINSON PARK

885 Level Creek Road, Sugar Hill, GA 30518

We have the opportunity to literally plant the seeds that will help feed the needy in Gwinnett County! The Gwinnett County Department of Community Services has a Fall Garden workday to help them in preparing soil, planting seedlings, spreading mulch, weeding, etc. Everything that is planted will ultimately be harvested and donated to local food pantries and food Co-Ops throughout Gwinnett!

All ages welcome.

HABITAT ReSTORE

2100 Riverside Pkwy #123a, Lawrenceville, GA 30043

Habitat ReSTORE needs our help with moving, sorting, lifting, assembling, and organizing all current and in-coming levels of donations.  It ranges from all types of furniture items, tools, hardware, electronics, toys/bikes, etc.  Let’s help Habitat ReSTORE get organized so they can continue to help those in our community!

Requirements: Please bring water, work gloves, and closed-toe shoes. Also, volunteers must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift. Ages 16+.

NORTH GWINNETT CO-OP

The North Gwinnett Co-Op needs assistance inside their Second Blessings Thrift Store.  Volunteers will be handling various tasks such as receiving, sorting and sifting through donations, as well as discarding unwanted items.  This is a great opportunity to lend a hand and support our ongoing efforts.

Requirements: Volunteers must be able to stand, walk, bend, as there is no sitting on either side of the warehouse.  Ages 16+.

Need:  12 volunteers maximum

GARDEN PLAZA AT LAWRENCEVILLE

220 Collins Industrial Way, Lawrenceville, GA 30043

Join us in making a difference as we clear out and organize the garages at Garden Plaza Lawrenceville! This is more than just a cleanup—it's an opportunity to bring order and new life to a space that serves our community. Whether you're tossing out the old or carefully organizing what stays, your hands will help create a place of beauty and purpose. We need a team of dedicated people who are ready to roll up their sleeves and make an impact. Will you be one of them? Let's do this together!

THE QUINN HOUSE | FOOD PANTRY

555 Hurricane Shoals Rd NW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046

Every home needs a little love, support, & TLC; the Quinn House is no exception! The Quinn House needs help replacing yard borders, assembling food boxes, and building a handicap-accessible wheelchair module. Your support will make a meaningful difference in our community! We will also do some light landscaping work, along with truck washing and minor clean-up tasks to help spruce up the house. All tools will be provided.  Let’s help bless the residents of this amazing home!

THE QUINN HOUSE | THRIFT STORE

219 Scenic Highway South (Hwy 124), Lawrenceville, GA 30046

The Quinn House operates a thrift store that supplies clothing, furniture, and appliances to the needy for little to no charge!  They need our help in organizing, shifting, moving, and relocating various items in and throughout the store!  Let’s help this thrift story be THIRFTY!  From these centers we also furnish homes for people who have gone through our program and are now out on their own. The proceeds from the stores go toward the operations of the ministries (gas, rent, electricity, etc).

PRAYER TEAM

C3 Church, 1065 Walther Blvd, Lawrenceville, GA 30043

For those of us where lifting and bending probably isn’t the best idea, we still have a community service opportunity for you! Linda Johnston will be heading up a prayer team to cover all Dream Team members going out into our community. Throughout the church, there will be prayer stations set up for each Serve Day project. The Prayer Team is ideal for those who can't necessarily perform “physical work,” but who still want to participate in SERVE DAY!

Requirements: warm hearts, powerful prayers, & legible penmanship!
